why do you think we are all called diffrent names

We're not all interchangeable. We are individuals. You have a surname to help you identify members of your family (and who you shouldn't marry in the old days.) And you have a first name so we know which Mr Smith we're talking about.

Or people wouldn't know who's talking to who. Or who's talking about who. Then everyone would have the same name as movie stars or FBI's most wanted. It's confusing.

It's quite handy to know to whom you're talking, especially when using things like a telephone or writing a letter, don't you think?
