All you can do is practice. To become truly fast, you have to get to the point where your brain automatically can locate the keys without you having to look for them with your eyes. To do this, you have to practice using the same fingers to press the same keys all the time until it becomes automatic. Try getting one of those typing tutor programmes that teach you proper positioning and drill you until everything becomes automatic.

There are also free ones available on-line. Try searching for "Typing" (or typing practice, typing tutorial...etc)

Here's one I found for you:

I never tried it out, but it looked fairly decent at first glance.

Good luck!

Learn where all the keys are on the keyboard and there are typing exercises that you can find that will help you learn how to use all the keys so you can learn where they are by memory.

To be able to type really fast you have to be able to do it without looking at your fingers that is why you must memorize the keyboard. The minute you have to look at your fingers you will slow down.

Once you've memorized where all the keys are then it is really just practice that makes you faster over time.

You should also dictate in your head. As I am typing it is like I am saying the words in my head so that they are formulated and it makes it easier for my brain to translate them into typed words.

Hope that helps. I am a really fast typer and these are the things I have done.

if you have the basics down, ie; and position and key fingering, the rest of it is continuing to type correctly.
When learning make sure that you use the correct finger for each stroke.
and unlike what was already said, practice does not make perfect. If you practice the incorrect technique then you will not be perfect in your typing.

Perfect practice makes perfect.

Helpful hints: Do not use message shortcuts - such as L8r; u c; gr8, although you can use them in messages, they will seek to undermine your abilities. You see as you practice you will eventually not think of keys but words, and your fingers will automatically type the word. but if you constantly use the short cuts, you fingers will do those. ( not your fingers actually, but you will build a memory that a word that you type will equal a certain set of keystrokes.

That is why perfect practice makes perfect!

There are alot of way to type fast:

1. Learn first typing:
> familiarize the keyboard.
> find help on *master typing*
> practice.

2. Take time to memorize in order to coordinate your mind with your fingers and what you are typing.

3. Always make sure you follow the typing lessons.

4. Be patient in case you get errors.

*** That's all for you and for me too, hehehe!!!

the first thing is just learn the position of the fingers, i mean which key should be pressed by which finger.. and then whenever you come on the comp, say for anything and it concerns typing then type with the fingers in the position,. it will be really slow in the middle and concentrate on accuracy ,, take your time.. it will be very annoying in the start but keep your cool.. and just watch within no time your speed will increase plus ur mind skills... try it out...
