The first time your hand touched the other person's, did you feel something special? Was it warm? Were you attracted to this person for an unknown reason, or was it only physical? Soulmates don't always look like what we see as brilliant and beautiful. How comfortable are you with each other? Do you forget how long you've known each other because it seems like forever? Do you think the same thoughts as the other person? Is your first and last thought in the day, do I do all that I can to help this person know I love them without saying it? Would you die to save their life? Answer these questions and you will know. Then remember, even with a soulmate, relationships take commitment and work.

Vote for angela's answer as best,she got it in a nut shell,you will know.Your instinct will tell you if u have found it.Good luck with it,finding ur soulmate will change everytrhing about ur character.
And if u have a lot of people settle for second best in life and a hell of a lot of people never find a soul mate

Usually when you still feel exactly the same way about them after 10, 20, 30 and 40 years together :)

you have a "connection" in a crowded room you feel their eyes on you, when they are thinking about you you are aware of this. you want to be with them all the time, you get on well with them you are opposite but similar, etc boo hoo i dont have all this. you are a very very lucky person if you are with the one.
