While in Hanoi (Vietnam) we saw a Dog Restraunt. They cook and serve specially bred dogs - From a dog farm. They don't just drag them off the street.

I can't see the difference between that and eating a sheep. Nobody would go with me. Why?

I would eat dog, if i was hungry, and i might cry whilst doing it.. i really dont know

You really have to break this question up.. Would i eat my own pet dog, probably, if it was the choice between that and death, could i kill him, probably not...

Then you say hwats the difference, would you eat a human? If a dog is a sheep.... is a dog, aa sheep, a monkey, a human.. where do you draw the line.

Some vegitarians eat fish.... thats some messed up line right there...

Personally,, I wouldn't eat dog as society has brought me up to believe that I shouldn't, so I couldn't get my head around the fact I'd be eating what could possibly be a family pet, Having said that, if I'd been brought up in an area where that was acceptable, then it would be common place and I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Also, having said all that,, I had sweet'n'sour "chicken" last night from the Chinese,, the chicken was a little suspect,,so I could already have eaten dog without my knowledge, in which case, it was lovely ,,

Different cultures eat different things, It is all very normal. Many Asian countries serve dog. You can get it in the Philippines too.

I am from Thailand, where people eat things like insects, duck eggs pickled in horse urine, and elephant testicles. I am not trying to be funny or gross. It is just different cultures.

Many of the Cambodian refugees who escaped Pol Pot and the Khmer rouge were flown on American commercial airlines to the west. They were very confused when they received rice covered in a yellow substance while on the planes. They had never seen cheese before. The didn't have a clue what it was.

Here is a link for insects as food in Asia http://eat.bees.net/

Well, some people have barriers in terms of what they can accept as food. Commonly, dog is not accepted as food. This is why they'd refuse to do it. Some people would be OK with it, or curious enought o try it.

Some people are vegetarian. They feel the same way about eating any meat.

No thanx I wouldn't eat a dog!!!
Chinese & Vietnamese do definitely eat dog meat, its nothing new dish to them.Stray dogs from india are also exported to these places for their dog meat dish menu.
Well, have you tried their human foetus (new born human babies)meat flesh on their menu. They cook and serve as well specially human dead baby on platter in restaurants as their speciality!!!!
I can't see any difference between dogs meat or human foetus baby meat just like eating sheep meat.
Have you missed eating it????????

Its a different culture....if you've ever had a dog as a pet you'd understand why I couldn't eat a dog. Only dog I'll ever eat is a hot dog.
