No, I don't think the brand and the price will damage your sister's skin. What will is if she uses the type of the creme which is not meant for her skin type. Use creme for oily skin if her skin is oily, as well if she has other skin type.

Oil of Olay. Good price, good results. Pricey isn't always better. I started using petroleum jelly as my first moisturizer and then the Olay products. I am almost 40, and I have very smooth, even skin. Starting a good skin care regimen at a young age is a good idea. Remember: cleanse, tone, and moisturize. That is the key in healthy skin. Don't forget the 6-8 glasses of water daily and at least 8 hrs. sleep and no smoking or drinking!!!!

Biotherm has products not only for old people. Sure she can use some, just look it is not products after age 40.
You right Biotherm products are expensive. Look Loreal, the prices there OK and they good.

I spent £120 on a Creme de la mar moisturizer and didn't notice any difference.
