How do you find out the value of something?

My x step dad found some food stamps from 1929 that his mom had,how can he find out if they are worth anything?

I would try researching for an antique appraiser and tell them what you have and maybe have some pictures ready to email as well.

look on the web there is always info for you to look up with stamps
