Yes it is...it is just like all other general merchandise retail only the seasons occur at a little different time. At Hobby Lobby, Christmas is almost all year long but really peaks from May to December. I worked for HL for several years and they are a typical retailer. They pay lower-than-Wal-Mart wages. They expect undying loyalty from their employees - until they have to cut payroll cost. They constantly fight merchandise refund scams(I guess being Christian just doesn't protect against the forces of evil). And if you happen to fall into the disfavor of upper management, their Christian approach to resolve the matter is to get rid of you, even when the upper manager is wrong. I know from experience. I have always believed that it is easy to talk-the-talk(HL does this well), but to be a real Christian, you must walk-the-walk(HL doesn't). Since many of the stores were open on Sundays until the mid 1990s, I always thought the "Closed on Sunday" thing was an attempt towards an ongoing advertising scheme. Most of their part-time employees would work on Sundays anyway(for the money). However, I would point out that by closing on Sundays, the stores could spread out the schedules of their weekday employees to cover Saturdays, not have to schedule anyone on Sunday and save payroll and I would doubt that closing Sundays cost them any business since they dominate most of their markets with the unique merchandise that they import. By the way, you'll be hard pressed to support Amercan made products at Hobby Lobby. Things are not always as they seem(or are presented).

I didn't know that Hobby Lobby is Christian. It doesn't seem particularly Christian to me, it just seems like any other hobby supply store.
