it looks like Detroit teachers may be headed for a strike, i know that they've done this before since the law forbade them to,but now it looks like their employer is not going to allow them to do it. Superintendant Coleman has said he will stay up all night signing forms to punish striking teachers

Depends.....if a big number of them would strike at the same time, the schoolboard couldn't fire them because the number of teachers would be so low that the schools couldn't continue for a while and they would have to hire more or accept the demands.

They would be foolish to strike with the law the way it is... they should seek some sort of legal remedy to their situation and in the meantime work without a contract.
