"would you say that the great white shark is the most dangerous?"
Most dangerous what...fish? Creature? Predator? You need to be more specific before anyone can answer your question.

Well a white shark can sniff a drop of blood in an incredibly large amount of water, but without a wound to sniff it from, it could just leave you alone, so long as it doesn't mistake you for food. Humans are not part of a white sharks staple diet. So I don't think they're that dangerous. I think it's a tiger shark that will attack no matter what.

The majority if not all of the news covered shark attacks in the U.S. are from the Bull Shark. The poor thing is a swimming testosterone war head! The Great White is a brilliant, adaptable and amazing hunter, and for lack of a more tasteful term, killing machine. (watch 'Air Jaws' from Shark Week on Discovery, amazing footage!) So depends on what kind of dangerous you're looking for, to humans, to its prey or in general.

Actually this is not true at all, Most of these attacks by Great Whites are simply the shark testing the human or object.
Bull Sharks are the most violent sharks, the will attack anything and cause serious damage.

The great white may be the biggest, but the tiger shark is the most nasty closely followed by the bull shark

The Great White shark is a predator and is found off the coast of Africa and south Africa, it is dangerous yes and would only regard you as a meal if you acted like a fish in distress as it picks up on the waves emitted through splashing about or the spilling on blood which it can smell up to 20 miles away. the great white is an endangered species, so if your planning on hunting one I hope it does eat you...
As they are top of the food chain in the oceans and basically the cleaners of dead and sick fish floating about etc, they mostly hunt seal or porpoise.
Their numbers are growing fewer every yr because of commercial fishing trawlers who are destroying the oceans (a 100,000 sharks a year are killed)..so if you wish to see them then tourist trips are always on hand...but otherwise keep away!

I believe that Bull and Tiger sharks have a greater propensity for attacking with dinner in mind (so they would linger around and munch on you for a while). Great whites tend to take an investigative bite (ranging from a nibble, to a missing leg or insides glurping out) and often decide that you're not blubbery enough. If it was hell bent on your demise, I would say that in all likelihood it would be successful.
