Well, it seems like the term "You have to spend money to earn money" is coming into play more and more.

Many places now want at LEAST some college experience before they hire you...and these are place that would normally hire H.S. grads. I've read articles online where grad students have come out of college and gotten a job at walmart and MickeyD's.

I only have a H.S. degree, I graduated and now I can't find a job. What's happening to society? I REFUSE to flip burgers and mop floors. You should have to go to college to get a middle-class job.

You could join the United States Armed Services (after the war), go into law enforcement, drive a cab/bus, exotic dancer, call girl, waitress, housewife, retail sales clerk, all in all there are lots of things you could do but they don't generate enough income to live a comfortable life, with the exception of call girl or exotic dancer.
Best to continue school, a little bit of college goes a long way.

There are many opportunities for a high school graduate (by the way, congratulations!). Most are not high-paying jobs but if you get with the right companies, you can advance. Start small and grow, you can do it! Yay! Good Luck!

Work at Starbucks and let them help you pay for college.

Of course if you have some talent then you can try for that right off.
