Not necessarily. However, you might want to spray or put some bait stations around. PestcontrolAmerica.com has a gel called Max Force FC that will kill all common household roaches. You also might want to spray around the outside of the house too. With the roach baits, roaches eat it and when they go to the bathroom, other roaches eat there droppings and get the bait too. One roach will kill up to 40 more roaches that way. The other roaches that also have consumed this dietary delight will then kill up to 40 more with the same process, sort of like a chain reaction or a domino effect. Maxforce FC is the same stuff used by professional exterminators.

Statistically diffuse all won the odds are great that there are more. Cockroaches breed like wildfire. They're basically reproduction machines. The best defense is a strong offense. There are some pretty good cockroach mechanisms these days. Cockroaches eat the bait which is contained in a little black oval. They go back to their nest and spread it around and then they all die. By a box of 12. And put them in the quarters and dark spaces of your living area. They will protect you for three months. Better safe than sorry and the sooner you start the better off you will be if you're wrong, it's only a few blocks down the drain. If you're right you could be saving yourself a pain in the butt.

If it's the huge ones like 2 inches big then it probably came from outside. Make sure u have window screens and cover any cracks on walls. If u see baby small roaches then there's probably more. Get boric acid powder spray behind furniture and cabinets. It sticks to there exoskeleton and when they clean it off at there nest they digested and die plusoftware kill many more

There may be. To catch them without poisons, place a little peanut butter at the bottom of a jar and leave it somewhere in your home. Roaches can climb in, but cannot climb out. Good luck.

Usually cockroaches travel in packs of 300+. They typically send out the smallest ones to scout and observe their new territory (your room).

Could be. Have the room checked for cracks on the wall, small holes and have these cracks and holes sprayed with Baygon or something that'll kill the nest.

Could there be, most definitely! Are there, technically who knows but chances are if you've seen one there are likely many more. If it was a really big one (sewer roach size) there is a better chance it was the only one.
