To H-
Christianity is as much mythology as anything else. It has a book of stories that explains a theory of how the world works. Just like the ancient Greek's stories!
and yeah- Please, if the question doesn't specifically ask qbout Christianity, for the good of the asker and their search for truth, don't use their question space to push your beliefs onto them.

I guess they're just represented statistically--if there are Christians out there, then I guess there's Christians in here.
That said, I don't like the witnessing about Christian issues. Save it for religion and spirituality. But everybody's religion is somebody else's mythology--so what does that say when Christians talk about mythology, hmmm? But, whatever--you can just skip the answers you don't wanna read. Let them talk--as long as they're in here, they might learn something that makes them think about not cramming their religion down other people's throats. I don't want to keep them from an opportunity to be educated about other schools of thought. So answer what you want, but don't be all hate-crime-y about it, is all I'm saying.

Christians are not the "Whackos" here. Wrong or right, Christians will answer questions concerning their beliefs wherever they are posed.
Perhaps the 'wackos' are those who post questions about Christianity in the Mythology & Folklore section rather than in the religious/spirituality section?
I come here because I am a published author in the folklore genre, and I answer questions about religion because it is "a target of opportunity."

It seems they see this section as a potential recruiting ground, as there tends to be lots of youngsters beginning spiritual journeys that ask anti-xtian questions. The collective xtian believes simply that any question not asking "How can I praise God better?" is produced from the bowels of hell and warrants their attention in the hope of cohearsing another gulliable child into their "flock".
If only they knew...

Its actually because they keep losing arguments in religion and spirituality, they get huffy and so come to try to convert people to get a louder voice there.
Trust me, this is nothing compaared to the empty noise they make in there....

.We are the most vocal group because at the end of the day, we are the only ones that are willing to die for our cause not because we hate others but because we love them. And as for the 'whacko' that put us up to this; arn't you happy that this is our means of communication as opposed to car bombs and plane hijackings? at least our whacko isn't making us wipe out millions just because we share differences of opinions with them.

Christianity is the only religion that activly tries to spread its teachings as "the truth" to other people. if you think about it, Y!A is the perfect place to lure gullible and unsuspecting people in for an all out religious war. The christians are so adament about making sure everyone is on their side that they will answer anything just to get attention, even when it is incorrect or may seriously cause problems with the asker. it's ironic how the christians are really being selfish by putting their agenda before the wellbeing of the asker.

Christians know THE answer. The "whacko" you refer to is God. We cannot help but to let all know.
Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;
21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out,
in the gateways of the city she makes her speech
By the way, Jews and Muslims also teach that they know the only true way. With the radical Muslims it's "convert or die." At least the Christians try to warn you first (preaching). We don't cry "God is great" and immediately blow up a plane or a cafe.
