Teamwork - a government idea to make sure nobody can be blamed when things go sour. The only positive thing I can see about teamwork is that, if you have a team of excellent individuals, it can work, because the strengths of other people can help you soar. However, most teams are made of mediocre turkeys. And it's hard to soar with eagles when you work with turkeys.

teamwork gives you a lighter load as you can delegate more things get done in a shorter space of time
you have others to discuss problems with
more ideas on solutions as different people have different ideas
teamwork builds confidence and friendships we all have strenghths and weaknesses a team can support each other
you get the right man for the right job ie i love craft my coworker hates it she does the paperwork i do the messy stuff ... teamwork

Different points of view to better see the big picture or to find out how others might feel about a decision from other angles. Good ideas feed off each other and breed more good ideas. Brain storming, works like magic. Alone some ideas might be OK, but with input from others the ideas can become grander.

Because work is where you spend most of your time, besides sleeping in your bed. Teamwork is necessary at any workplace, because everybody needs a "backup" for vacation, Illness etc. Also, the atmosphere is much nicer, working with teamplayers.

as in all teamwork projects there are pro's and cons. A good example is the apprentice !
even Alan Sugar got it wrong, she did have a nice pair of boobs though. Badger was the one to hire but even i could not resist.

Teamwork means everyone has one common goal and objective. Its easier to achieve these goals if everyone did their share to make things work. Each member is assigned specific duties that all point to that common objective. It is also faster because no deviation from objective and goal setting means everyone works faster and goals are easily achieved.
