Look the the following facts:
1) 85% of India's population is Hindus
2) The President of India- Dr Abdul Kalam is a Muslim
3) The Prime Minister of India- Dr. Manmohan Singh is Sikh
4) The Chief of Army Staff- Gen J J Singh is Sikh
5) The most powerful politician, Chairperson of the UPA, the governing coalition and chief of Congress Party , Sonia Gandhi is a Christian.
6) The chief minister of the second largest state, Andhra Pradesh Dr Rajsekhar Reddy is Christian.
Now look at this:
1) U K is a relgious monarchy. Queen of England is head of the Anglican church.
2) US never had a president who has not been White Anglo-Saxon Protestant male and there is not much scope for this to change soon.
3)Ditto with France, Germany, Italy, or any other country in the world today..
So do you think you have any great disadvantage being muslim in India? Decide for yourself

Thank u for your feelings. I am not a Muslim so its difficult for me to answer on behalf of Muslim community. Be that as it may, consider the facts. India was partitioned on account of religion. Pakistan was created for Muslims, and Muslims were given an opportunity to move there. Yet India's Muslim population is is more than that of Pakistan. This should be proof of the comfort Muslims must feel in being a citizen of India. Yes there are communal problems at times. But tell me any other country which has so much diversity without any problems?

just because our president is a Muslim... it doesn't mean that all the Muslims are feeling secured in India... i don't see what the F**K is wrong with this feeling in India... even Christians are in a better secured state than Muslims... i think the major difference is that no christian in India is trying to bomb some place just bcoz his fellow religion men from some other country are asking him to do so.... and also not all Muslims are to blame... some are very happy and proud to be in India... but a fraction of Muslims that bomb India just bcoz someone from Pakistan is telling them to do so. just bcoz of this fraction all the Muslims are put to risk... i am sorry for the major part of Muslims for being wrongly blamed... and i pity more for those who became a toy in the hands of Pakistanis... they not only disgrace their family, their country but also their RELIGION.... and whats with this Jihad? i don't think any religious god would say... live by killing others... that's a total crap. live and let live should be the motto... and i believe it is the same for Muslims even... anyway the final answer would be... YES. there is a little disadvantage for the Muslims... but no one else is to blame for this...except for themselves.

Indian Muslims are more happy , safe and prosperous than Pakistani Muslims.
We are a secular democracy with a courage to chair the Muslim President. Here in India Muslims have equal rights but the recent terrorist activities made the question mark to think.

Nothing of the sort. But the situation today is being made bad by Muslims themselves. I know many muslims in India, who live and earn in India but praise Pakistan. They are traitors. Otherwise there is no problem in India. Everything else is politically motivated...

Yes , there are some problems to the Muslims because of the fanatic Hindu dominating party ( at the days of Nehru and the congress party things were better)... However you have to strugle with others to improve the situation..It is not a disadvantage , stick to your beliefs and morals , do not look back and move forward.
