What you are trying to play is a RealMedia Audio Stream, which I think plays as it streams down from the net, instead of being downloaded and played. According to the FileExt site, the .RAM file is a small text file containing the URL (Web Address) of the real stream file with a .RM extension.

You need to make sure you have the RealMedia Player installed on your computer. You should download the free version by clicking on the link on the right hand side of the page at http://uk.real.com/player/?&src=ZG.uk.home.home.hd.def

You can then click on the link to the RAM file again and I think it should play the audio stream.

You need the right program to open the right file and there is no law that says an extension has to be what you expect it to be.
