Wait until you get at least £50 in you PayPal account, then transfer it to your nominated bank account. It's free then.
Unless it's a high value item, I start all iems off at 99p, that will save you money on the insertion/listing fee, too. I've noticed items that are worth more don't get bid on if the price is too near what they're worth.
It's the car boot mentality. But you'd be surprised what will sell - and for how much!
I leave the post office to tell me who is the cheapest courier, but you do need an idea beforehand so that you charge the correct rate and don't rip people off.
Arm yourself with the postal rates leaflets from the post office, a set of scales and weigh your items packed for accuracy.
A bit of a bind, but you won't lose out either.
You cannot charge extra to cover PayPal fees either. To receive money into your PayPal account can cost about 15 - 20%....
Bear that in mind if something sells for less than £5!!

When you sell something the money will go to your paypal account and stay there until you decide to withdraw it or spend it. you will know when you have it coz a little £ sign will show up next to the item and you can check by looking in paypal account overview.
Start your things for sale at the price you want rather than a really low price that may not be bidded up. take into account that there are small fees for selling and paypal will take a cut too.
For more information go to the answer centre on ebay and the ebayers there can answer any other questions you may have.
Good Luck xx

Like has been said, either use the auction and start from 99p or buy it now option. Ebay will charge you an insertion fee, about 20p then they charge a final sale fee, money goes in ur paypal account where they then take a small fee.
As for postage allways charge more that the actual price, everyone does, if they say they don't, either lying or have put charges into actual price of item. You pass on the listing fees and other fees to the buyer, so if postage is actually 99p, charge £1.99, after all you want to make a profit don't you.
make sure you list the item accurately and if you say First class post send it first class, you dont want to recieve bad feedback.

your money can stay in your bank account and when you make a purchase, paypal will automatically take it out. sign up for the email alerts (by ticking a box i think) and they send you emails of all transactions ie item sold congratulations. the messages will be on both your ebay and your paypal account. make sure youve linked the two together otherwise they wont work properly. you will find out whether or not youve done this if you go to pay for something and have a problem. youll then be prompted to an activation link. always compare lots of prices to find the best deal when purchasing, and wait til a bit later (ie last day) otherwise youll be immediately outbid!! most people send via royal mail first class, and only use a courier for much larger items (or put collection only to save costs.....as the person comes to you). most couriers will be similar in price.

money goes into your pay pal account and then you can send what you want to your bank account or leave it in your pay pal account and you can spend it on eBay, you are notified instantly when payment is received from the winning bidder, i usually use the post office to send items but if it is big then you can go through another courier.

No, the PayPal payment doesn't go to your bank.
Actually when you receive payment from PayPal it goes to your PayPal account which you mentioned in the SYI form.
you will get notification email from the buyer about it
However in order to withdraw the money from your PayPal account to your bank account
-Sign in to your PayPal account
-Click the Withdraw subtab.
-Click the Transfer funds to your bank account link.
-Choose the bank account to which you would like to withdraw the funds to and enter the amount.
