Best thing to do is get a service manual. All that is really needed is to change the lower unit oil, water pump impeller, and spark plug once a year or 100 hours of use. In the case you have a 4 stk, you will also need to change it too. If you need more info, I will need the serial number of the motor.

I found an idividual that services & repairs mine. Stay away from boat dealerships, as they will rip your head off if you are lucky enough for them to have actucually have made the correct repair.
2 kept my engine to sailboat over 4 weeks during prime sailing season. Little old man fixes in week & always does great job. Ask others at Marina who they use.

Change the lower end oil. Change the plugs. Check air filter.Make sure the water pump is working properly.
