I spend £28 a week on electricity is this excessive. How do reduce my fuel bills

UK energy costs are rising so the first thing to do is get the insulation right. You might be eligible for grants to improve loft and wall insulation and you should consider double glazing if you have none.

Gas central heating with a condensing boiler is probably the most fuel efficient system and your house Will be much more saleable with gas central heating and hot water. I reckon that an average sized UK home should have a gas cost of £40 per month. This must be balanced against ongoing electricity needs for appliances and lighting.

Can you insulate your dwelling. Sealing up the cracks and openings around windows, doors and mouldings will also help greatly.
All these techniques are not very pricey. Ask for more advice at your local hardware store.
