in my school, we choose 6 subjects for Unit 1 and 2 and 5 subjects for unit 3 and 4. so obviously the year after unit 1 and 2 you have to drop out a subject. here are 5 subjects that will help you to go through atutombile engineering: Maths methods (CAS) English Physics Chemistry ( it is optional to either choose physics or chemistry but doing both is an advantage) Maths specialist (once again its optional, u could stick with CAS and get the score required and enter, but doing extra maths is very good, remember engineering has alot of maths involved).

Assuming you are talking about at A-Levels do

MAths
Physics
Chemistry / Design & technology

At university, do Automotive Engineering at Loughborough University of course!!!
