The answer is C

Vietnam falling to communism was initially a direct and real threat to Australia. Australia would be completely cut off economically if other neighboring nations fell to communism as well. At the time, Vietnam's military was much larger than Australia that could overwhelm Australia's forces if the fight was brought to Australia soil. It initially made sense that Australia was a part of the coalition (yes, there was a coalition) that fought for South Vietnam's sovergnty.

Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War pretty much parallels U.S. involvement. This includes public resentment towards the war that escalated to the point of forcing the Australian government to pull their troops out at about the same time the U.S. did in 1973.

C they definatelty saw a spread of cumminism in SE asia as a threat to their own existance and wanted to protect their existance in that part of the world, giving the countries of that area time to stabilize and strengthen so communism would not take hold. It worked and communism did not spread as far as it might have.
