This is a part of my project on ancient civilisations, hope it helps:

"Persian, 640BC. The vassal state of Media was established. The civilization flourished under its successful leader – Cyrus The Great, who expanded his empire as far as Central Asia. This ambitious civilization met its end when another great conqueror of his time, Alexander the Great, burnt the Persian Capital of Persepolis to ashes in 327BC."
