Start with some small talk. Try to bring up something you may have in common. (as an example- did you hear *** new song? or wow, the prices sure have gone up on ***, )The rest of the conversation will flow, but it might be good to have a few topics pre-planned to avoid awkward moments.

Start with a cheerful smile.Try not to be too eager.start the conversation with the topics that related to both of you.For example, try to ask he/she what bus do he/she take while you are waiting for bus with he/she.Hope it will help you.(^.^)

Ask them how their day was... sometimes an event that had occured earlier in their day can sometimes start an entire conversation.
