Yes yes, unfortunately I am going to buy into the trend. I already have a very nice Mp3 player but my new car has iPod capability and I'm really interested in seeing how it works. My choices for iPod include (I only have $190 bucks).

iPod Nano 2gb ($129 refurbished from Apple)
iPod Nano 4gb ($169 refurbished from Apple)
iPod 20gb (noncolor) w/ Apple Dock ($169 refurbished from Apple)
iPod 20gb (noncolor) ($159 refurbished from online store)
iPod 40gb (noncolor) ($189 refurbished from online store)
iPod 30gb (video) ($199 refurbished from Apple)

Which do you guys think would be the best choice. There are certain trade offs with space and color screens, but I also want to have money left over...Thanks!

Depends on how much music you currently have or think you will have in the future...if you listen to a lot of music then I'd say probally the iPod 40gb just cause its the biggest and will most likely last longer due to it having more space for songs...now if you want to watch movies and whatnot then go for the Video iPod 60gb which they have out instead of the 30gb one because most 2 hour long movies are close to a gb of space...Myself I love listening to music so I bought me the new 60gb video ipod so I can watch movies when going on trips and I listen to a lot of music :) so it will last you awhile

You should get this http://www.download.com/Free-iPod-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10498771.html?tag=lst-0-1
It's only 100 dollars and it looks just like an ipod nano, but it's 4gbs, can play videos, has an FM tuner, and a voice recorder. The ipod nano can't do any of those. Just check it out.

It all depends on 'how you gonna use your iPod'
If you are willing to use it as your premier music player (thats what I hope)m so you have to consider your storage requirements, if you are a real music freak, you may not be satisfied with 60GB but as you said you have just $190 so I think you should buy a 30GB.

I would go with the 20GB non color with the dock and everything. It will make you happier and you wont have many problems syncing with your PC.
