I'm travelling to Budapest, Hungary this week and as a student I want to make the most of student discounts, but I'm not sure if i should buy an ISIC card (internatonal student card) whch costs about £7 or whether i can use my normal university ID card or my NUS card. Does anyone know?

I don't know for sure, but you would be better spending for the ISIC. Unlikely they will have heard of the NUS. They *may* accept Uni ID, but you are on safer ground spending £7. I bet you are spending more than £7 to get there!!

Have fun!

I may be a bit late, but suggest you do get the International card. Inspectors do check your id with your train tickets.

I am not sure about NUS, but I am sure that ISIC is valid.
