Some think that they can't know Him, but that he is in bread and wine. Some are in fright at the thought. Much terrorism was brought by this difference of opinion.

Talk to Him man. The very Jesus in the bible is very much the same as today. That's why He gave the holy spirit to you so that it'll be able to communicate to you from within. Jesus is always around and you can pratically tell Him anything and everything. He doesn't mind, obviously cause He died for you!

To know Christ personally, is to have a personal relationship with them. To accept Him as your one and only Savior, that He died on the cross for you and your sins and He rose again and He lives today. We all are sinners and fall short of God's glory. The only way to get to God is through having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Along with that relationship you can talk to God by prayer. I'd really like to help you. But you can't just declare that you accept Christ as your savior and he is in your heart because the truth is before you get to that, you must enter his Church first (Acts 20:28 Lamsa Version).

i dont think that you can answer that question. there's no "best way" to become friends with someone. it's a relationship. it's just amazing to think that God desires a relationship with me, and knows exactly what I need as a child of His. Check out Rob Bell's "Lump" nooma (and all the other noomas for that ;-)).

if you believe that jesus is the son of God and you ask him to forgive you of your sins, believing that he died on the cross for you, than he will make himself known to you in your heart. Ask him to forgive your sins and to come into your life to lead and guide you and he will. If you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of your life, he will make himself known. After that go to church.
