Hmmm.

Can't really give you a definate either way answer on this one.

Some pointers:

1. I don't believe AirNova is an airline based in Australia. I follow the airline business closely, and have never heard of an Australian airline called that. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist tho. There are lots of small airlines that exist.

2. There was an airNova airline which became part of Air Canada. Nothing to do with Australia.

3. Surely the email had some kind of contact details. What email domain did it come from? What instructions did it tell you to do to apply further for the job (is money involved/bank account details/nude photos etc).

4. Neither Air Nova or AirNova are registered business names in Australia as far as my searching could see.

As I said before, I can't really say either way. But it does sound a little dodgy to me (but I can't definately say it is).

Feel free to send me a Private Message with more info and I'll be able to reply with a better opinion on what I think about the offer.

I think this offer is doubtful. AirNova is a regional operator for Air Canada, and does not operate outside of North America. If you were hired by Air Canada or the STAR Alliance this might make sense (as they are affiliated with AirNova), but with the given information I'm afraid this seems like fraud.

I live in Australia and never heard of Airnova. What kind of position is it? Suggest you do a search on the web or actually telephone the company to see if anyone answers the telephone.

Did you apply for such a job in the first place? If no, then it's doubtful! No airlines go around 'offering' jobs!
