tell me all the details will i need to go to the toilet 1st b4 they do it or what, does it hurt/ uncumphy? how do they do it and will they go eeewww cause i have a fat ass and well i'm 14 and y don't they gross out? willl they feel my ****? and should i just do it myself at home! what will he do with his fingers up my anus? and what is he feelling for? and how will it fell for me? It depends. Sometimes the doctor will manually examine the rectum, feeling for abnormal lumps and masses.On males the prostate is checked. On females, the uterus is checked. Other times a scope made out of flexible tubing will be used. Sometimes a person will receive a barium enema (to provide contrast) so the doctor can go up into the intestine. If you have to prepare prior to the examination the doctor will give instructions. This type of examination looks for such things as polyps, signs of cancer or things such as diverticular disease. This is a normal and important part of health care.

-let you lie on the side of te bed , on your left lateral side
-he will start for examination of the anorectal region , to make sure there is no obvious pathology or anal fissure , where in anal fissure it is contrandicted to perform digital rectal examination where it is so painful in this condition
- he should put a lubricant containig lidocaine which is a local anesthetic so that no pain or minmal discomfort the pateint will feel
- after finshing proctoscopy should follow

well I assume your male...it's no big deal..you lie on your side and the doctor will put on a glove and grease it up and insert 1 finger into your rectum..he's feeling for lumps or anything unusual in you prostate area....there's really nothing to it...and it's much much easier if you just relax..doesn't hurt at all and it's over in 5 seconds.
