you will find that there are not as many bullies in highschool as in JR or elementary school. People seem a little more mature. Being a freshman on a JV soccer team will make alot of people jealous and being harrased is un-avoidable. If you have earned the spot then in time as people see how good you are then harraing will slow down. You may have to learn to stand your ground a few times by showing up a few people with your soccer skills to let them know you deserve to be in jv. Outside of soccer, the best way to stay away from trouble is not to talk bad about anybody cause gossip spreads faster then the plague. Stay away from other people boyfriends, and try to blend in with the fashions.

If anyone picks on you (shoving, slapping) beat the crap out of them and say horrible things to them. If you nicely take it you will be a target the next four years. And if you lose don't lose by much. Probably no one will do anything. You don't get any points for being nice in high school. Ignore verbal taunts or demolish in kind. Save niceness for home/ college. Remember chick fights are about making the other girl look bad, most fights don't have a clear winner, and as long as you keep at it and keep getting up you probably wont be the 'loser.' Bring a nice change of clothes and some makeup. Scope the school in advance and wear what everyone else is wearing. Fit In at All Costs. Anyway you made it through middle school, which is the worst part of almost everyone's life, so why are you worried?

Don't worry. That is the best piece of advice I can give you. My freshman year I was so nervous and scared that I made the first week horrible for myself. After the first week I started liking it. I have always hated school up until I got to High School. And honestly there is less bullying than in Middle school. Yes some people will pick on you but it happens to the best of us just try to ignore it, because chances are there will be more people who like you than who don't. Oh and the upperclassmen usually only bully or haze the kids who act like they are cool and stuff. Lay low and you'll be fine.

They won't be too mean. I got hazed my freshman year when the captain of the basketball team put a big purple "F" on my forehead. I just laughed, and then washed it off. It is just a ritual, and not one that many people take seriously. Just take it for the fun that it is, and before you know it, you won't be the new kid on the block anymore.
As far as bullies, I'd say confront them. If you approach them in a reasonable manner and ask them if they have a problem they'd like to discuss with you, most will back off. People are really to busy falling in love, breaking up, doing homework, and having fun to take the time out to bully thoroughly.

I just finished with my freshman year so I know the feeling. The way I made it through without being bullied is just be an overall nice person. People may get underneath your skin, but be mature about it and don't get into any verbal/physical fights or anything. Usually, if you don't start stuff with people, they won't start stuff with you.

Don't worry! Some people in high school are very nice. You won't get bullied. Stand up for yourself and the most important thing is DO NOT GET IN A FIGHT OR YOU WILL BE EXPELLED!
(P.S. Does anyone around here find Edna to be annoying?)

Forget the bullies, get to know a lot of p[eople and have friends. Later on, should you be confronted by bullies, you'd already have a support group. Be yourself, not what you are not.

Just be yourself. If that doesn't work, never mind. What is important is that you have established a good reputation for yourself. With that, you give them no good reason to bully you.
