My cat and dog do that all the time...especially because my cat was here a couple of years before we got the dog. They just need to get used to each other and figure out their boundaries as lame as that sounds. My pets still fight sometimes and I have to break it up.

I would get rid of the dog. Cats are cleverer.
Seriously : It is possible that they will never get used to one another. I have heard of such cases. But give it a try and if they don't quit quarreling you will have to consider keeping only one of them.

Get them used to eachother my dogs and cats get along just fine. They even sleep next to eachother. I have 6 cats and 2 dogs so thay had to learn. lol

hmm..maybe you can quarantine them from each other. put one in this room and another in that room.
time will make them become friends. there are cases where both the dog and cat can live peacefully together. i guess they need time to know each other and make friends.

Dont worry, they will find a compromise. Let them sort eachother out, and stay out of it! Been through this many times. Before long, they will be napping together.
