Set aside a time, perhaps before you go to bed, that is reading time. Ten minutes is a good time to start. It should be quiet and nobody should be allowed to interrupt you. Have something to drink maybe. make reading associated with something you like. Increase the time spent reading slowly as you begin to like it.
Note- If you get a book that's just awful, you really can't stand it. Quit it and start another one. Some books are just bad and it's not you, it's the book. Why not try Saturday by Ian Mc Ewan. It's not too long. It's about current events.

Pick up a book that catches your fancy and read it for 15minutes. Then put it down. Replay in your head what you read. When you get to the point where whatever you are reading is like a movie going on in your head, you are in the habit of reading books.
