I do the three Rs. I try to reduce the amount of trash I generate everyday. If I can reuse something, then I do so. I recycle bottles and paper.

I do all three of those, but especially Re-using and Recycling. I use flourescent energy-saving bulbs for all my lighting. I throw biodegradable materials out into the woods (i do not have composting facilities). I pick up deposit bottles i see on the side of the road. I see those, because i walk almost everywhere. (True, a lot of that is because i currently do not have an automobile.....but still.) I know i could do more.....but at least it's a start, isn't it?

I reuse and recycle. When I see good stuff (books, toys, clothing) in the trash I clean it up and give it to a charity for the poor people.

I try to find uses for things most people throw out. Instead of simply taking it to a recycling facility I try to find a use for things.
I use bottles and turn them into bird feeders. They are perfect because they are water proof.
I use tuna cans and sauce cans, etc and poke holes in the side... I then paint them and they become candle holders. I put them all over my garden they look so amazing at night.
During the Christmas season i use the same size cans, poke a cute design into them and paint them with the christmas colors and tie them with ribbons I then fill them with candy and give them as presents to my friends, they love them. Every year it is a new design, last year I did snow men , the year before was reindeer, and so on. They have become quite a collectors item. lol..

I recycle plastic soda and apple juice bottles. I occasionally piss in the back yard so as not to use too much water flushing the toilet..actually I went for 3 years without running water, borrowed water from my neighbor and took showers where I work. Also drive a compact car for better gas mileage.

I make sure not to litter from my car, I use my ashtray and everything. I reuse my bags from the grocery store, and just in general try not to be wasteful with the things I have. I also turn off lights when I'm not in a room and keep the AC at 78 when I'm at home unless I'm sleeping.

even as recycling is often a good theory, it truly is lots of the time worse for the ambience. forinstance : to ensure that recycled paper to be reused, they might want to chemically get it back to its pulp state. this procedure is amazingly undesirable for the ambience! its more effective efficient to reuse even as its a possibility and shrink continually.
