A 103 temperature is an indication of an infection and
associated fever...certainly as a result of your injury.

A "significant" fever is usually defined as an oral or ear
temperature of 102 F or a rectal temperature of 103 F.

Seek medical attention as soon as possible so you can get
treated with the proper antibiotics.
Also, the older you are the more critical a high temperature like
that becomes.

Not unless it is infected. If it has an open wound or has had recent surgery, go to emergency room.
