When shedding, as with any snake, keep all your movements slow and exact. Their vision is very much affected by the shedding of the eye caps, so they tend to be a little cranky around shedding. If you move slow to let the snake know you mean him no harm, they will remain docile. If your snake does not shed the skin completely, soak him in warm water for 30 minutes and use a dry towel. Let him crawl though it pulling the old skin off. If the eye caps fail to come off, wet them down and use a pair of twizzers to remove them.

its fine. and no its not a vitamin deficiency. Snakes shed only as needed and never more than that.. A 5 year old JCP has been full grown for quite a while and has no need to constantly be shedding skin. i wouldn't worry about it, just make sure your keeping his humidity up in the 70% range and your good to go.

I would not worry he is near adult size and solong as he is eating and passing waste then he is not in any danger. He only needs to shed if he is growing or if he has got parasites. Keep the humidity at about 60% and the temperature in the low 80's F and he should be OK.

Smashley became into replica and pasted, yet i will show you how to comprehend to.... take your snake, moist a towel, wrap him in stated towel, and gently enable him wiggle out of the his epidermis jointly as you carry. gently.... do no longer peel the exterior, enable him do the artwork. shop it moist. As for ingesting, some snakes do no longer consume before a shed. Ball pythons can decide for months with out ingesting. If he's not ingesting agaiin in a pair of weeks after the shed, examine temps in the enclosure... do no longer hear to workers from petco or petsmart... aside from an occasional worker that unquestionably is time-honored with herps(uncommon). Ball pythons are infamous for no longer ingesting each and every time they sense like it, somewhat this time of 12 months that's around their breeding season. 3 weeks won't harm her except she became into particularly skinny first of all. whilst mine has subject concerns with laying off (temperature and humidity are interior of regular tiers) I positioned him in a bowl with heat water for about half-hour. Afterwards I soak a comfortable washcloth and gently carry onto him and slowly enable him artwork his way out of it. The previous epidermis comes good off. stable luck.
