To have the world's destiny lie in the hands of only 5 nations who already have their own interest at heart? I'd say it's as undemocratic as it gets.

You mean that "Veto" power in UN Security Council...........
It is written in the UN Charter and is too much democratic like a Written Constitution of a Democratic State!!!!

No, it's part of checks and balances. Each branch of government has a "veto" power.
