I wouldn’t really want the ‘idiots’ off the site. Besides, how would you prevent them to participate? I completely agree with toao1978! Here we get the viewpoints from all kinds of people around the world, all ages, all cultures and all intellectual levels. Sometimes I learn and sometimes I cry out laughing… and sometimes I roll my eyes. It introduces us to the human race. Therefore I’d say this site needs all the input it’s getting at the moment to offer us with the full variety. I call it the global fruit salad. If you take out the bananas and the paw-paws and the nuts it wouldn’t ‘taste’ the same anymore! Like lisaclara said, we all have a valid point. If it doesn’t apply to you, then move on.
But I do agree with IQ that the questions should be visible for longer, or more often. Perhaps let them pop up again like new questions every 30 minutes or every hour. More answers on a question would spice it up a bit. I just wonder, wouldn’t some emoticons spice up yahoo answers too? Problem is, I think some of those ‘idiots’ you were talking about might misuse them! More in a way that it would become annoying at some point!

Anyone might consider anyone else an idiot depending on your view of things. But it's good to hear different opinions - that's the whole point so I wouldn't say - get rid of the idiots. Sometimes, idiots have a valid point that could be sigificant. But they do need to do a better job of screening people who put links to a gazillion pop ups and stuff like that to jam your internet. You can always downrate and/or report the idiots. It would be a better experience if Yahoo! could do a better job of keeping it clean. I mean - it's not a porno site so why every once inawhile are there porno pics showing up for people's photos? It's also not a sex site which so many of these sex crazed teens are putting these wacko sicko sex questions out there all the time? I know it's free speech - but a little regulation doesn't hurt if that regulation supports the purpose for which the site was created.

Get rid of the Ednas! And the idiots, and make levels 2 and 3 more different from level 1.

I'd do nothing. That is what makes this forum great. The freedom of speech. I finally get to hear it as it is. I get to read peoples views from all over. It gets me out of my world for awhile. I like to see people with similar questions and problems. Yeah sometimes the questions and answers are dumb but without them it just wouldn't be the same.

I would find a way to keep the questions visible for a bit longer so the people who ask questions can get more people to respond to them. Allow the best answer to be chosen after 24 hours not 4 hours.
