I love boiled peanuts. My favorite are the ones cooked in the Cajun spices. The first time I tried one, I thought it was awful. But, the second one was better and then it became quite addictive. I now live in NC and can't wait to drive to the country to get some this Fall. I try to explain it to my West coast friends and they just don't get it. I'm glad there's another person on here who understands! :)

Well...I guess I should be ashamed to admit that I have lived in the South for awhile...and never had a boiled peanut. I'm bad...so bad...

Yes!!! They are wonderful. Up here in the north you can't find them. You are right. They are a southern thing. Really good!

I did try them when we were in Georgia but I think it may be an aquired taste....I would be willing to try again though.
