your teacher has a point..being a frank person is a quality in which other people doesnt posess and your lucky having it but being frank also is not a so good personality..having that personality is being disregarding people's emotion..what if they've been crying hard because of your being frank?? it doesnt if what youve said is true but think of their feelings too..

Some people appreciate a frank person, but not all. You will have to learn to live with the results. I am also very frank and have made lots of enemies being so. But if you want to say it the way you see it or the way it is, you must live with the consequences.
Good luck

There's a fine line between frank and tactless. You can be honest, but work on how you deliver the opinion.

you know, i used to be real up front.
everything out ther.
why not, i always thought.
Now I am older.
and I kinda know when to hold in. at some times.
others, i just let fly. and can get burned.
just learn from what happens. and every day you will know a little more.

Your teacher is wrong. There is nothing wrong with a "tell it like it is " person....and I'd tell her so!
******
I am not talking about being just plain mean.
I am sure you have discretion.
