I'm not advocating that everyone should go ahead and get a tattoo - it's kinda a decision that you make with yourself. And you should take it seriously, considering that tattoos are permanent (unless you wanna spend a shitload of money trying to get it removed, and have a nasty scar in place of it!) Firstly, I'd just like to say, don't do it just because your best friend is doing it or if everyone else is doing it. And most of all, don't get a "best buddies" tattoo - a tattoo that both of ya have - coz you never know what kind of **** could arise, and you may not be friends all your life. If you follow these rules, you'll be good to go!

Anyways, I have a tattoo on the lowerback. It means a lot to me because it's something that I stand for. I am from Australia, and i'm proud of it. Born and raised Australian, I had to move to America when I was 11, coz my (American) stepdad and mum met over the internet, got married, and we all moved to America coz he didn't wanna quit his jobs. So I've lived my life as an Australian, and I've already decided that I don't ever want to become an American citizen. I'll just keep a green card for the rest of my life. So being a proud Australian, I decided to get a tattoo on my lower back that says "Aussie"... and they guy did a really good job of it too! It's in fancy writing, just how I wanted it. But the point is, this is something I stand for, and a view that will never change in my entire life. And like i've said, the decision on what tattoo you get is solely up to you. You should think a little more before you get one, because if you're trying to ask everyone else what tattoo to get, then it's not really thought over too well. So goodluck with whatever you choose, and please, don't get the usual stereotypical butterfly or ladybug!!! You could always go for you zodiac sign, or a nickname that you like. And "Aussie" is definitely my well know nickname that I gave myself! Have fun and take your time deciding!

You should get the letters SHEEP across your lower back that way no one will be confused. Seriously don't get a tattoo just to get a tattoo, and certainly don't get a design just because someone else thinks it will look cool. You will only regret it later. Tattoos are pieces of art and should have a personal meaning shared between you and an artist who has the ability to create your dream.

WOW, how absolutely original! I have never seen a stripper oops I mean girl with a tattoo on her lower back. You are quite the trend setter. Pretty soon all the girls will get one there. Oh yea every girl and her mom already have. Tattoos are the new mullets. Why don't you set yourself apart from all the other sheep in the world.

How 'bout something natural....like a dark brown mole with three hairs sticking out of it ? That way if you regret it down the road.... you can deny it was ever a tattoo !!!

Ok, seriously Hotttttt, I've been pondering the same question. I like them simple, like the Peace Symbol, or the Quadrinity Symbol, which represents your Body,Mind,Emotions & Spirit.

I'll tell you what, I got one (a rose) on my ankle 5 years ago. Since then, the black outline has spread, blocking out the red of the petals and the green of the leaves. It now looks like a big burn mark on my leg and I hate it, but I'm stuck with it. It also HURT like hell when I got it. When the guy started out making the rose stem with the black ink, I almost told him to stop and if anybody asked me what the black line on my ankle was, I was going to tell them "It's a tattoo of a stem".... just make sure you go to a good tattoo artist, even if it costs more.

no girl dont get it on your lower back, the point of getting a tattoo is to set you appart from everyone else, get it somewhere where not a lot of people have it. i want one on the back of my neck. so i think you should get something classy that doesnt make you look cheap, so get your name or something that resembles you. hope it turns out good hun =)

If you are going to get one on the lower back, get an arrow that points downwards and says insert member here.
