Just wondering if there is any fictional what if scenario type books set in an alternate timeline where native american civilization developed without the europeans "discovering" America?
If so, are they any good?

While not exactly about Native American Civilisation per se, "The Years of Rice and Salt" by Kim Stanley Robinson describes how the Black Death was far more deadly than in our reality, making Europe a non-factor in the world afterword. The Americas are in the story when they are found by Chinese explorers sailing across the Pacific, with obviously a different result than European discovery.

Sorry, but I can't think of any that describes how Native American culture would have developed without any external interference.

You definitely should read Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus by Orson Scott Card is a great book. I think you'll really enjoy it. It is about a futuristic society that has the ability to "watch" past events on the big screen...but one group of scientists take on a new mission...find a way to change the fate of their world (it's doomed) by going back in time and correcting 'past' mistakes. So it's a combination science fiction/ time travel/ alternate reality book. VERY VERY good...one of my all time favorites.
