In many cases the causes are not as stated on the television, or in the paper.
There have been two recent cases, one American, and one British, where secret service personnel have been caught, dressed as Arabs, driving a car which contains a bomb. The idea is to drive the car into a crowded area, then walk away, and set off the bomb by remote control, such as a mobile phone, and claim that it was a suicide bomber.
Other cases have been reported in Iraq, where, for example, the police might have a road block where they examine people's documents, and certain people are selected and taken to the police sation, along with their car. After being held for half an hour or so, they are told that they are free to go, must pick up their license immediately from another police station.
Meantime, their car has been fitted out as a bomb, and when they get to the planned location, the bomb is detonated, and the driver is calleed a suicide bomber. In another incident, a farmer was driving to markey with his son, with a load of melons. He was stopped and inspected, and told he could go. He stopped about a mile down the road, and examined hiis load, in which he found a bomb, whixch he carefully placed at the roadside. When he returned in the evening, he could see where the bomb had exploded.
There are probably, in truth, very few, if any, suicide bombers, and the few that there are are not mentally normal. They have been controlled by a mind control program, which the CIA are experts at. Don't believe everything you see in the papers and on the tele. Not much of it is true, and all of it is biased towards the ideas of the Zionists who own almost all of our mass media.

The suicide bombings have more social and psychological causes than political. That is to say, the person who decides to commit the destructive act is doing so in part because of an allegiance to living people (other radical Moslems, for example). But he must also be of a mind to want to kill himself. And he has to be of the mind that agrees with the Marxist notion that the ends justifies the means, that killing people for some cause is right or godly. The idea of killing oneself has socio-cultural aspects often. It is considered heroic in many parts of the world. Terrorism will only die out in the distant future, when civilizations all over the world think similarly: that targetting unassociated, random civilians in the promotion of any political agenda is indecent and unacceptable. Now it is much like a football game, and the Arab Street is, according to opinion polls taken in Moslem countries, just rooting for its guy with the ball (or backpack). The remarkable thing is that so many people are duped into thinking that the current political freakishness is "religious". It is not. Even when Holy Cross plays Saint Joseph's it isn't religious!

On one hand, terrorism may be due to the oppressed fighting back against the oppressors. Most of the sucicide bombers are from 3rd world countries as compared to their recruiters who are usually of higher educational or more privileged background.
The roots of may ills & problems are political & economic in nature but the so-called religious leaders have corrupted many gullible minds into believing that theri so & so religion are being attacked. For example, the world's biggest oil reserves are in the Middle East, hence, US & British interest in asserting their presence there in order to ensure stable oil supply. Also, the modern international borders are mostly drawn by the old colonial powers, lumping prople of conflicting ethnic groups together.
To cut a very long story short, the ones at fault are many, not least of whom are the lobby groups, the politicians who are supporting them & the so-called religious leaders who manage to convince people to die for a "righteous cause", these suicide bombers also being foolish enough not to question as to why they are the ones who have to die & not these "religious" leaders.

Certainly not the religion is the cause.
I believe apart from religious disharmony its the outstanding core issues of conflicts between countries, which remained un-resolved for quite a long time, are the root causes of sucide bombings, extremism and terrorism.
These issues needs to be addressed JUSTLY.

is what causes one man to slay others. Neither an inner sickness of the heart nor a demented philosophy of the head, nor human nature itself, is responsible. It is always something outside: a lack of money, an insult, an injustice, a loss of honor.
Should Osama bin Laden’s killers infiltrate our shores, let the pundits decry America, scream Palestine or shout some other injustice as the “root cause” of the suicide murdering, if they wish.

I think is extreme frustration with the unjust being done to them. But I will never justify them blowing up amongst and killing innocent people. Killing innocent people is horrible. For example, I read that 52 percent of Israelis didn't support the invasion and thought Israel lost. Now, it's horrible if a suicide bomber blows up killing some of these people.

Suicide fighting the enemy, is NOT a new thing to Arabs, It has been done during WW2 by Japanese pilots against US aircraft carriers.
The Jewish Zealots who were besieged in the Palestinian village of 'Masada' by Roman troops committed a mass suicide fighting the Roman. Ironically 'Zealots' is synonym to 'HAMAS'.
Now, for Palestinians, the Israeli es deprived them from almost everything except maybe breathing, and here, I am NOT exaggerating at all. They are under occupation, curfew , Electric cut off, no basic rights in their own homeland, so the only way to fight this heavily armed enemy is by sacrificing themselves for the good of others. When you are deprived From you right to freedom and self determination on your own land, you lose faith in every thing except the will to fight back.

The cause is failed cultures. The leaders of these failed third world cultures blame the successful cultures so that they can avoid scrutiny which would lead to their losing power.
