In the world class sprints I only see blacks racing in the sprints. It seems the ratio of caucasion to backs is very disproportionate on a world wide bases. Don't people in Europe and Australia like to compete in track. Is it just me seeing it this way?

it's at least partly because studies have found that in general, people of african heritage have a higher proprtion of fast twitch muscle than whites do. the difference wasn't that much over a very large test group, and of course there are whites who have lots of fast-twitch muscle and blacks who have lots of slow-twitch, but there is a general trend

I don't know about all blacks in general, but I know that Kenyans have a genetic predisposition to a different bone length ratio in their legs as well as a better muscle development in the legs as well. The bone length ratio grants them better leverage when running and the muscles are more greatly adapted to such activities. As to why, I couldn't tell you, though I imagine it has at least a little to do with the environment their ancestors developed in.

No, maximum Black little ones decide to be like their hero's...i assume alot of Black little ones have soccer and Basketball gamers as their hero's. i do no longer think of genetics can rather play a brilliant area, purely when you consider which you're tall or quickly does not advise you will make a brilliant athlete, there is extra to activities than purely that.

It's genetics. Most people of african american heritage have larger nostrils to intake more oxygen to feed muscles. Most african americans have large and strong thighs and legs for running. Environment also has a big part..... if your dad was a track star and wants his child to be a track star then their would be a big emphasis to be fast on the track.

Actually, they are also faster at long distance races! Most male marathon runners are from Kenya or other African countries and so are a lot of the female marathon runners. It does appear to be genetic.

It's specifically the Kenyans who tend to be faster than everyone else, not just faster than caucasians. They spend their lives practicing that particular thing for the olympics. They knew that it is the one thing they could win in, so they dedicate themselves as much as possible to winning in that sport.

I saw this topic on a documentary once. The answer here is genetics. Apparently blacks have longer and better muscles in their lower legs than other races do. Maybe they are more evolved than other races.

If you look at their.bodies blacks will usually have longer legs and shorter torso compared to whites which have longer torsos and shorter legs. In example mostly white people.swim because the length of your.torso effects swimming greatly( just look at michael phelps) .

haha it's not steroids, think about it. in slavery times, they bred the strongest black man with the strongest black woman....they did that for like 50 years. i would imagine that the majority of african americans have ancestors from the civil war, so they would have the benefit of "breeding" as cruel as it may sound
