I work for a newspaper company and I sell newspaper subscriptions. It AMAZES me how many people don't want or want to read the newspaper. Maybe if more people DID , this country wouldn't be so ignorant and would be more educated and cultured. Do you read the paper?

I guess it just amazes me , because I work for a very WELL known and popular newspaper, and people still don't want it.

I read it sometimes, but mainly watch the news. I don't have it delivered cause they rip you off.

In my home my husband has the newspaper delivered seven days a week. He's sixty eight, retired(has gone back to work), and has a daily routine. He doesn't leave for work until one in the afternoon but religiously gets up between six, and seven every morning just to read his paper. He takes about an hour & a half reading the paper then starts on the crossword puzzle, and depending how difficult that is usually finishes then maybe eats breakfast. I have always read the paper because not only is it relaxing, but I'm sure to have important subjects to talk about. I think some people take things for granted, and are so busy(doing nothing), that they tire themselves out. Even if you are a full time worker you should still make time to know what's going on in your neighborhood, and in the world.

Yes I get 2 different newspapers delivered. One of them is a 7 day a week subscription and the other one is a weekend subscription. Some of the news I read in the paper isn't even reported on the news so I think it's good to read newspapers to keep yourself informed of what's going on around you.

I am currently receiving a daily delivered newspaper because my mother had a subscription and I am not letting it run its course and I will not renew it when it runs out. I have no time to try to get down to what is really important inbetween the fluffly hometown propaganda that my newspapers print, and I have no where to go with all of the newspapers that stack up and are left lying all over my house . I do not think it is worth the bull frocky.

No tanx! Everyone I know has electricity now so that the garbage can be wrapped in those plastic bags we git at the supermarkets. We git our news at the screen here, where we git our Yahoo!Answers too! It's too stoopid to subscribe to a newspaer or magazine in addition to Television, Telephone, Internet & such 2000+ inventions to include Windows Vista, Core II & the DG cell phone! This IS 2006! Newspapers are so 19th Century! I'd sue the paperboy for littering if I wasn't such a nice guy!

Yes, I do. I only subscribe to the sunday edition, though. I enjoy reading the newspaper and I normally go through the whole paper. ( even the classifieds.) I just do not have enough time to read them daily. I still go online and check out the current news and interesting info.

I don't anymore because when I had a subscription, if I missed reading one day I felt like I had to catch up and read that one first. It just got to be too much pressure!

I do read the newspaper everyday, but I read it online as this saves the trees. Why don't you have a look at our Australian newspapers - I have attached the link for you.

Have fun!
