Someone is handing you a line of baloney. The mexican mafia collects alot more than a gallon of gas from every single illegal in their area of responsibility, and their not nice about those who refuse to pay them. Its one of the bigger problems which you won't hear about from the bleeding heart conservitives, who need workers able to live six to a one bedroom apartment, so it doesn't seem like there are illegals in your neighborhood.

You make it sound so easy. To get a greencard, you must go through loads of paperwork and it does cost a good bit of money. It took us nearly 2 yrs to get my husbands greencard and he is British.
