Morning/Noon/Night sickness whatever you want to call it, is kicking my butt! I'm currently 3 months pregnant with my first and I would've hoped that it would be gone by now, but it has other plans. The slightest smell sends me running to the bathroom. Any tips to help cope with this?

Make sure you stay WELL HYDRATED. Drink extra water. Eat saltine crackers BEFORE getting out of bed & get up SLOWLY. Eat something BEFORE going to bed.

Morning sickness is fairly common in the first 3 months so hopefully it will calm down soon, if not, ask your doctor for a prescription to help control it.

Try nibbling on saltine crackers (it worked for me) and eat bland foods that don't have have odors like mashed potatoes. Just make sure you keep taking your vitamins!

If it helps any, an old wives tale says that morning sickness is caused by babies that have a lot of hair on their heads :-)

stay close to the bathroom. j/k. I had this problem with my first one i ate tums like candy. I hate tums now after that. sometimes crackers will help settle your stomach but not too many just kind of nibble on them. And sometimes cocacola will help too but not pepsi. It has to be coke because the syrup is different and its not quite as sweet as pepsi. Good luck. The morning, afternoon and night sickness never let up the whole nine months with my first one. The second one it was the certain smells that had me puking.

I had it all the way into my second trimester and was hospitalized 3x the first four months of my pregnancy for dehydration. Beleive me, I know how bad morning/afternoon/and night sickness is. Try something sour, it worked for me....for awhile. I lived on lemonheads, Starbursts, and Skittles. I, too, was prescribed Zofran. It's a prescription for severe nausea during pregnancy. As your OB/GYN about it. Good Luck....it will get better!
