I'm worried that my girlfriend is pregnant and I'm afriad that I will get in trouble by the law if her parents get mad. But her and I both say it's consensual sex and were both of age to have sex but is there like a way that the parents can have any say in it or no.

You're legally fine, but her parents will still make trouble for you. If she's pregnant, she is automatically emancipated, so you could conceivably be active in your child's life. However, best thing for the baby would be adoption into a stable, two- parent family. (Do those exist anymore??)

Peace.

Because you are both 16 your are going to have trouble, possibly with both of your parents. The consisting age is 18, maybe 17. I hope that it goes well for the both of you. Do not listen to anyone telling you both that the only way out of this is by "getting rid" of the child. If you are both still not sure she is pregnant get an at home test. EPT normally are the best and you can till if she is pregnant by the fifth day of her being late. Good luck to the both of you and hope that is goes okay. In the end you will have to tell both of your parents but be sure first.

How old are you both? If you're over 18 and she's not, then her parents can get you in trouble if they want to, or if they just don't like you.

I have a friend who's 19 with a 17 year old girlfriend, but her parents condone the relationship, and she just had his baby a few months ago. I know another couple who just had a baby (about a week ago), and her parents had him arrested cause he was 19 or so and she was 13.

And even if she is under age, she doesn't need parental consent. Doctor's offices keep their records confidential and they won't tell. She's gonna have the baby whether they want her to or not, cause it won't stay in there forever! There's no good way to keep it a secret, though, so don't even try it.

If both of you are of legal age, then the "grandparents" have no say. If one of you were not legal age, regardless of consensual or not, by law it's consider statuary rape. If you're that concern, then make sure that you both take responsibility for birth control. The pill, cream, whatever and a condom. Better safe than sorry. You can get all of this at the Planned Parenthood plus more. They will not report to the parents about anything. Good luck.

Sadly enough no a parent cannot stop a child from having sex -getting pregnant- having a baby We as parents can however choose to not allow you to live in our homes we can refuse financial support You are 16 playing grown up well daddy grow up get a job get ready to be a daddy diapers food clothes rent utilities doctor bills hospital bills all cost real money and don't forget you now have a life that is you your girlfriend and baby give up hangin with the guys its hard to do with a baby in tow and guess what babysitters cost money too GOOD LUCK

There isn't anything here parents can do because you're both of age to have consensual sex...she does need to take a test and tell someone she trusts though because being pregnant and not telling is a serious health hazard for your baby and for your girlfriend..i've had girls deliver their babies in bathroom stalls in high school then decide to tell someone while her baby is still attached by the umbilical cord...SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY

You do not have to hava parental consent if both of you are 16, you will have to make sure that you guys are ready for this though. If the parents are not supportive it will be very hard for you to raise the child without their help. My friend who is 23 just had a baby and her parents do not support her at all, in fact they wont even talk to her, that is really hard to deal with.

If both of you are of age, there is nothing either set of parents can do besides be angry or upset. Why not trying using a form of birth control. Go to plan parenthood witrh her and get some. You are too young to have a baby. Good luck.

i wouldn't have thought so there's no law against you having sex so technically there's nothing against you getting her pregnant. i'm afraid to say at your age it probably is a better idea to have an abortion... financial reasons and because you really wanna enjoy being young... no one can make you but you could well live the rest of your life in poverty if you have the baby now... it's not uncommon.
don't worry about that yet until you find out if she is or not.

Check the laws in your local state. If you are both over the age of 18 then you are safe. If your not do some research!!Each state is different!! Good Luck!!
