Oh, in this area, I am so smaltzy...I still love Cinderella, and the Drew Barrymore remake.
Cinderella was the only movie I ever went to alone as a child; it was a movie that actually grew my own personal independence. I loved it so much, that I let my mom drop me off (even though that idea was a little scary) and then pick me up later!

Vassalisa and the Baba Yaga - Russian Cinderella story - because it has all the characteristics of a life changing journey - a young woman sent off into the world faces challenges she didn't think she could handle (represented by magical helper but actually is her own inner strength coming forth). I love the imagery and power of these old Russian tales.

I love Cinderella, but if Beauty and the Beast counts, then that is my absolute favorite. I love the story. The romantic tension, the lessons each of them learn about each other and society.
What truly gets me are the characters. Each one is unique and lovely, funny and sad... They make me laugh, cry, and sigh.
It's a timeless tale that I will read, re-read, watch over and over again.
I can't get enough of it. I'll pick up anything related to it. Any story line that's similar. I love it.

The little red hen (the sky is falling) i was in grade school like kindergarten or 1st and we read the book adn it had the GREATEST pictures EVER>. i LOVED them.. so it is always stuck in my head XD
i also love snow white... because it is BEAUTIFUL ( the fairy tale in general)

My favorite is Cinderella, just like how she gets the prince at the end always makes me cry.
