I am so tired of the almighty doctors that seem to think that they are a higher being and are disrespectful not only to nurses in general, but female nurses that are their elders? You call them as you are supposed to do when a patient is ill, and you get crap from them like you disrupted thier life. Any other nurses want to join in?

I agree with you!! The nurses take care of the patients. We are the ones that spend hours with the patient. They come in for two minutes and explain the procedure, then do surgery, while they are asleep. Then, we are the ones with them all day and all night taking care of them. The doctors need to respect our professional opinion if we feel something is wrong. But always remember, if a doctor is not diong what you feel is right, you can always go above him. S/he has a boss, let them know what is going on.

I agree with you . where would the doctors be without the nurses? they should have clean bed pans and messes that the patients make . Then maybe just maybe they would appreciate them more. I am on your side there. Good luck in your future.

Because the concept that they're playing "God" has gone to their heads. What Nurses need to do- is respectfully tell the doctors, that if THEY aren't treated with alittle more consideration- that the doctors can do THEIR jobs too. Good luck!
