ARod may have a LOT of errors this season, and he's not hitting very well compared to how he's hit in the past. Compared to the league average, he's still doing better than much of most and most teams would love to have those #s, but his potential is so much more.
I'm a yankees fan and I'm not a boo-bird. It doesn't do anything but make the problem worse. The bottom line is... he's having an off year. He can make clutch plays and hits, but he's having a tough year. It's a mental block right now and eventually it will pass.
As for him being overpaid... complain to Texas. He didn't even ask for all that $, the owner just threw it at him. If you would play for $150 million but somebody offered you $250 million, would you turn it down? Besides, he offered to take a pay cut to go to Boston, but the Players Association wouldn't allow it, and NY is paying him only $16 million a year, less than Jeter, Texas is picking up the rest.
I'm glad he's a Yankee, he's a guaranteed hall-of-famer, and he'll go down as one of the greatest players of all time. By then, he'll have the championship rings to validate him... starting this October!

I personally root for A-Rod and I'm a Yankee fan too. I don't like how a lot of Yankee fans boo him. I mean, he's a future hall of famer and he is really a terrific player. It's just that he's in a big slump right now and most players go through it. I don't think he would ever play in Boston.

A-Rod is simply one of a kind... hes up there with the elite, even though everyone is saying he is having a bad year, he really isnt, hes just having a DOWN MONTH... he is human by the way... just because he only committed maybe 4 errors the whole year b4 and he has had 8 or so in a month doesnt mean hes a fluke!!!
HE IS THE REAL DEAL... end of discussion

hmmmmm I don't dislike Alex Rodriguez... though I think hes overpaid and has not yet earned it... Manny Ramirez I have no respect for...and I think you know why....( him and Pedro can both kiss my A$$) yes I would like to see Boone still with the Yankees.. but of course it would have been 2nd base that he would of played , not third. anymore..... and that he really did to himself.... but it was his decision to go.... hell I'm still smarting over the move that Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte made on the other hand I have no problem with us getting Johnny Damon.. but to actually answer your question... yes... that would be a better scenario....lol.

I would prefer A-Rod right where he is. We're big Yankee fans, and at first I did'nt care for him, but he's showed a lot of desire, and wants to play well...I don't think he's there just for the check { as nice as that check may be } He's had his slumps, but does'nt everyone? And booing him can't help.

although a- rod is struggling now he is a great baseball player and will come thru in the clutch at the right time he needs support from fans. i wouldn't trade him for anyone in the MLB. he already has over 2,500 hits in his career and will be a hall of famer and he has 500 homers.

If A-Rod hate NY, he could have waved his no trade clause and accepted the trade to the Phillies. I think there will always be Yankee fans who hate him just because he's not Derek Jeter.

A teacher asks her class to raise their hands if they are a Yankees fan, the whole class raises their hands except for one little girl. The teacher asked why she didn't raise her hand, she said she was a Red Sox fan. The teacher asked "why are you a Red Sox fan?" The little girl said because her Mom and Dad were. Well the teacher said....if your Mom and Dad were morons what would that make you? the little girl replies...a Yankee's fan
