I think this boy that i'm in highschool with likes me I want to ask him out but i am scared because I dont want no one to now that I like boys,but is there a way I could go out with him, but keep it on a downlow without getting caught.I am still in highschool but would like to go out with this boy that I thinks likes me

Sure, why not. Who needs to know but you and your date. I went out with a couple of boys when I was in high school. No one ever knew and I never told anyone. That was in the early 1980's.

I laughed when I read a couple people say there were no secrets in highschool. They did not go to school with me... because I was quite secretive (just naturally reclusive I guess) and not a single person was aware that I was a promiscuous little freakshow outside school grounds. Everyone thought I was a virgin and I lost that in the 9th grade... (Trust me, i am not bragging... I'm just proving the point that secrets can be kept)
Keep in mind that he has as much to risk as you do (should you both be on the same page) and I think the advice from Pondering is by far the best. Feel him out and get to know him as a friend... and as time goes on... you'll know.

Why not? You don't have to ask him like you want to go on a date. Just ask him what he's doing this weekend, and if he wants to "hang out". Lots of guys go out and do things together, without anybody assuming they are more than friends.
Just see if he wants to be friends first. Then when you get to know him better, maybe he will tell you he's gay. Or after a while you can drop a few hints that you admire some male movie star or musician, and so on. Even if he isn't gay, he could still be your friend! And plenty of straights are comfortable with gay friends these days. If he's not, then too bad for him.

That's tough kid. I went out with another boy in Jr. High and Highschool -- but I was out to all my close friends and by the end to pretty much anyone who wanted to know.
I don't know what to tell you.
If he loves you and the two of you trust each other -- yes, you can do it on the downlow. I have friends who have done so.
But its tough.

Ugh just go for it...don't care if anyone finds out. Most kids now are accepting. I went to a small school in a farming community and I dated a guy that was on the swim team for most of my junior and senior year and not one person ever said anything bad to either of us. And thats in a town where everyone knows everyone else and all of their buisness too.

Sure you can. Hell, don't be ashamed of your sexuality. there's nothing wrong, nothing shameful about it. You are who you are, just as much as anyone else. Sure, some ignorant white trash might give you crap, but you have to realize that people will be giving you crap for your sexuality your entire life. You need to do what will make you happy and self fufilled. and you have to live your life to the fullest extent. See if your school has a gay straight alliance, they might help.

well think u should go with ur gut if u feel safe in ur school and ur area datein a guy because someone will find out in ur school thats how hs is .. but best bet is to start out as friends ask him if he wants to hang and like see a movie or w/e and go from there.

Be careful if you're that scared. if you think he's gay, make a comment otr twoa around him and carefully watch his reactions. Ask him to join you in a game of basketball or baseball, away from the school so you can talk to him.
