You can put them straight from your CD to your iTunes, then from iTunes to your iPod. You can delete them from the computer, but if you plug in your iPod and have chosen to "Automatically Update iPod", it will only load songs still listed in your iTunes library. You throw them out, you have to start over. There's an option to "Manually Update", so just be careful. I learned the hard way!

obviously you could. All you want to do is rip the song from the CD and save it on your computing gadget or pc in a format that your ipod can examine, then load them onto your ipod. keep the ripped song on your computing gadget as, if you're like me, you've extra CD's than storage means on your ipod.

Yes u sure can, but once you delete them from ur Computer they are still on the Ipod, but will not be on the Computer, it will recognize them on the Ipod, but if you intend to upload anything else to it, make sure it is njot set up to Auto update. It will automatically erase anything you have on the Ipod, make it a Manual thing for this function
